What is the Cabinet?
The Cabinet of the Republic of Liberia is the highest executive decision-making body that supports the President in the governance and administration of the country. It is composed of the Vice President and the heads of major government ministries and agencies appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.
The Cabinet serves as a forum where national policies are discussed, strategic decisions are made, and government programs are coordinated across ministries. Through regular meetings, the Cabinet ensures that government actions align with national priorities and the development goals of the Republic of Liberia.
The Cabinet plays a central role in advising the President on key issues affecting governance, economic development, public services, and national security.
Functions of the Cabinet

Policy Coordination

The Secretariat also facilitates communication between the Office of the President and government ministries to ensure that Cabinet decisions are implemented efficiently.
In addition, the Cabinet Secretariat maintains official records, policy documents, and Cabinet directives that guide government operations and institutional memory.
Organizational Structure
The Cabinet operates within the executive branch of government and is structured to ensure effective coordination and accountability among ministries and government agencies.
At the top of the structure is the President of the Republic of Liberia, who chairs Cabinet meetings and provides overall leadership for government policy and decision-making.
The Vice President serves as a key member of the Cabinet and supports the President in the execution of national duties.
Cabinet members consist primarily of Ministers who head government ministries, each responsible for a specific sector such as finance, health, education, justice, agriculture, and public works.
Supporting the Cabinet is the Cabinet Secretariat, which manages administrative functions, facilitates coordination, and ensures that Cabinet decisions are properly documented and communicated to relevant institutions.
